VIDEOS & short FILMS

Des Points de Suture is an homage to French new wave cinema of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Distinct elements of this movement include a DIY approach to production, a narrative that is open to interpretation, the use of bright colors, and awareness of the viewer. The work is mostly inspired by Jean Luc Godard, drawing parallels to some of his films.

Le Tings: a Cultural Conversation is a subversion of stereotypical stories of Black people in video games, specifically GTA: San Andreas. Le Tings promotes a playful cultural commentary and material recycling, therefore the video can be called a collage of recycled online material which questions representation in video games. The videos are a result of a client brief, made for social media and web use.

Visual project reflecting ordinary summer everydays.

The Space is a short experimental documentary, made from 3D scans of real places. The film explores memories that have already faded, yet at the same time are immortalized in their current state. It is my first project made almost entirely using 3D software (Blender, Metashape, and Daz3D).

The Space received a Finalist Award in the Best Documentary category at SWIFF film festival 2023 and an Honorable Mention at Berlin Flash Film Festival 2022.

Visual Rhythm is inspired by the works of Mary Ellen Bute, whose animations beautifully visualized music. The series of Gifs are made as moving collages using mostly Adobe After Effects.

Šokis (the Dance) is made as a mock industry brief submission. The body of work revolves around the journey of Lithuanian performative (dance) culture moving from rituals of collectives and communities into global ideas around capitalism and consumption, where costume is replaced by fashion, and community is replaced by audience.
